The sculpture is made by Boris Orlov, out of the material resulting from eight banknotes that have been chewed for about 10 minutes by: Igor Markin, art collector (10.000 JAP Yen); Kety Chukhrov, philosopher (100 US Dollars); Alexander Sogomonov, sociologist (200 CH Francs); Ekaterina Perventzeva, PR, (50 GB Pounds); Ekaterina Zenzirova, museum conservator (100 CAN Dollars); Andrey Silvestrov, videomaker (10.000 RUS Rubli); Daniil Shestakov, economist (100 AUS Dollars); Viktor Misiano, curator (500 Euro). -

An artist’s working hours - a contract

The contract between the artist Cesare Pietroiusti and the gallerist Franco Soffiantino provides that the gallerist doesn't sell materials works of the artst. Franco must be the broker for the sale of artist's hours. The buyers can choose from a range of activities that the artist certainly will do, such as performance, lectures, workshops and research. -

3000 USD bank-notes (1 and 5 dollars) are partly erased with sulphuric acid, and then signed by the artist. Each visitor to the exhibition can take away one for free.

A large wall in the museum was filled with drawings, made by the two artists. Each person of the audience, for the whole duration of the show, and for as long as there were available drawings, was free to take away. -

A restaurant is run, for a 24 hour period, in the Cafeteria of Ikon Gallery.
Normal menus are provided. As in any other restaurant, customers are free to eat as much as they wish.
At the end of the meal, instead of paying the bill, the customer receives the cost of each course they have finished.

Seven or eight elderly people, with no interest in contemporary art, are invited to attend the opening of an exhibition and are asked to hang out outside the door of the gallery for the duration of the event. -

"Starting at 8.30pm, i and four volunteers (Valentina Uberti, Filippo Berta, Davide Ferrari, Giuseppe Ferrari), each ate a 200 gr pizza as slowly as possible while never ceasing the movements related to the eating process. The actions terminated between 11.15 and 11.45 pm." -

I tore a 100 euro note in six pieces and gave each piece to six young artists from Albania: Blerta Bati, Nikolin Boujari, Nerina Ciaccia, Adela Demetja, Dritan Hysenaj and Iva Seferi. The banknote, after the six pieces had been evacuated, was put together again, and must be considered a collective artwork of the six performers and mine. -

A public auction is held. Participants make offers corresponding to the sum of two bank-notes in euros. The successful bidder gives the two bank-notes to the artists who eat them publicly and promise that, once evacuated, they will be returned to the bidder with a certificate. -
